3kStatic
Over the past twelve years eclectic electronic collective 3kStatic have seen releases on labels including Sony BMG Germany, Nightshade, Cargo Records Germany, INgrooves, dPulse, Sick Watona, TVR and others.
Heavily influenced by the cut and paste techniques of Dadaist art, as well as the fury of early electronica, the 3kStatic collective has been active on the experimental dance underground since the dawn of the digital music era. Today, 3kStatic has tallied over 2 million paid downloads (all formats) while collaborating with artists across the spectrum - all the while firmly maintaining their place in the deep electronic underground.
Apokrifa Digita - the most recent 3kStatic release - has charted in the Top 20 at popular digital music retailer eMusic since its release, peaking at #1 (Electronic / Leftfield). 'Black Body Radiatior', the single taken from that EP, also charted in the Top 15 in the US and Canadian Dance Music Charts as reported by Cashbox Magazine.
Previous 3kStatic releases - especially the double albums Where's Our Piece of The Groovy World? (#1 iTunes Dance) and Voodoo Science have also achieved substantial digital chart success. Each was a candidate for GRAMMY® Award nomination (Best Electronic/Dance Album), and highlighted a remarkable run of underground success that began with the 2004 Sony Music Germany release Perversion: For Profit.
3kStatic has to date charted no less than 25 tracks and albums in the genre Top 20 at virtually all major digital music retailers.
The forthcoming 3kStatic album The Society Of the Spectacle will be released in early 2012 via dPulse. A sound library project to follow up the 2009 Sony Creative Software release Evolver is also planned for 2012.
